We're excited to host our first-ever Smash Dink Tournament! With divisions ranging from 2.5 to 4.5, there's a place for players of all skill levels to compete. Brackets are open to all ages, and every registered player will receive a tournament t-shirt. REGISTRATION
All players must have a Court Reserve account and link their DUPR profile before registering for the tournament.

Team registration is not considered complete until both partners have registered and paid. This is a fixed doubles tournament, so all players must register with a partner.

If you do not have a partner, please get in touch with us at info@smashdinkpickleball.com. While we cannot guarantee a match, we will do our best to help connect you with another player.

4.0 - 4.5 Division:

Teams must have a minimum average DUPR of 3.5 to be eligible.

Team Average = (Player 1 DUPR + Player 2 DUPR) ÷ 2

Example: 4.3 + 3.6 = 8.29 ÷ 2 = 3.95 ✅

All other divisions:
Both partners can play above their rating, but not below. Eg. Both players must be rated 3.49 or below to join the 3.0 division. Both players must be rated 3.99 or below to join the 3.5 division.

If players are found registering in lower divisions than their rating, it may result in disqualification.
format
Tournament format will consist of round robin play, with a minimum of 5 games guaranteed for all teams. Larger divisions may be split into pools, followed by playoff and medal rounds to determine final standings.
scoring
Winners will be calculated by the number of total wins. In the event of a tie, the winner is decided by head-to-head results, then, if necessary, by points.Â
dupr
All match scores will be reported to DUPR. Your DUPR rating at the time of registration will be the ranking used for verification. Players should register for a free DUPR account if they have not done so already at MyDupr.com. You will also need to join the Smash Dink DUPR club, which can be found at this link. Neither player on a team may have a DUPR rating higher than the division entered (eg. a 3.5 male may not play in a 3.5 mixed division with a 4.05 woman, as the woman is not eligible).

paddles
As per USAPA rules, the use of Joola 3S paddles will not be permitted at Summer Smashdown. Please see the USAP list of approved paddles here.

TOURNAMENT BALL/RULES
The Franklin Sports X-40 will be the official tournament ball. USAPA 2024 Pickleball Rules will govern. A net serve is a continuous play. Players must make 'out-calls' clearly and fairly during gameplay.
