ALL THINGS DUPR

WHAT IS A DUPR RATING?

Helpful links

A DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) is a simple way to measure your skill level in pickleball. It's like a report card for your games, giving you a number between 2.0 and 8.0 based on your performance. DUPR considers who you play, how well you do, and the game's outcome, updating your rating as you improve.

DUPR DISCOVERY SESSION

Our DUPR Discovery Sessions are designed exclusively for unrated players who haven’t logged any matches in DUPR. Players with an existing DUPR rating, regardless of how dated their match history may be, are not eligible for a DUPR Discovery Session. Existing DUPR ratings can only be updated through logging new match results.

This assessment incorporates coach observations and is guided by the DUPR rubric and skill guidelines. Coaches evaluate a player's performance across key shots, skills, and game situations, using DUPR’s rating criteria as a framework. While there is an element of coach judgment involved, the assessment is structured around consistent standards to provide a fair and reliable estimate of a player’s current skill level.

This provisional rating serves as a starting point for a player's DUPR journey and becomes more refined as additional match data is collected.
