EVENTS

At Smash Dink, we love offering a variety of events where players can meet, compete, and socialize. We regularly host DUPR events, team events, ladder leagues, and other fun formats designed to keep things fresh and competitive. Check out our offerings below, and keep an eye on the calendar for upcoming dates!

3 AMIGOS

3 Amigos - Small teams, big fun! Here's how it works:

​

  • Teams of 3 (2 guys and 1 girl)

  • Combined team DUPR may not exceed the specified limit (eg. 10.25)

  • Teams are randomly divided into 2 pools of 4 teams

  • Teams will play one match against every team in their pool

  • A match consists of 3 games, first to 11 (one men's doubles game, two mixed doubles games)

  • Men's doubles play first, followed by two mixed doubles matches. Once the men are done, the losing team declares their mixed lineup first, and the winners respond.

  • Every player is guaranteed 6 games, and every team is guaranteed 3 matches.

  • The top-scoring team in each pool will advance to a play-off match.

These matches are not recorded in DUPR; however, a rating is required to determine eligibility and ensure games are balanced. ​

THE CLIMB

The Climb is a thrilling 4-week ladder competition that mixes skill, strategy, and a dash of luck! Every player has a chance to rise to the top. Even if you don't, you'll still have fun and get the chance to win prizes along the way! Here's how it works:

  • Open to all levels (3.2–3.9 anticipated skill range).

  • Rotating partners each round

  • Fast-paced, 10-minute games

  • Winners move up a court, losers move down

  • 7–9 games guaranteed per session

  • Win a game? Collect a token. Tokens can be spent in our pro shop!

​

The Climb offers ultimate flexibility; sign up for all 4 weeks for a discounted rate, or drop in for a one-time session. The choice is yours!

CRAZY 8S

Crazy 8’s is our most popular event!  It's a rotating partner, round-robin format, where all games are reported to DUPR. We offer women's, men's, and co-ed sessions. Here's how it works:

​

  • Anyone can sign up, no matter your skill level.

  • Once all spots are full, players are grouped into pods based on their DUPR rating. 

  • Each event runs for 3 hours, you'll play 8 games, one with every player in your group, and have one bye (9 rounds total)

  • At the end of the night, the player with the most wins is crowned the pod champion!

  • Winners get their money back in the form of Smash Cash - spend it on pro shop goodies, court reservations, or future Smash Dink events.

Crazy 8's brings together the thrill of tournament play and the fun of social pickleball, all packed into one event. ​We offer Crazy 8s sessions most weekends, check the Court Reserve app for scheduled dates!
