Do I need a DUPR rating to play at Smash Dink?

Anyone can play at Smash Dink, and an official rating is not required. Our DUPR-rated Open Play sessions require a rating or an assessment but don't worry! There are plenty of ways to play that do not require this process. For general open play sessions or skill-specific classes, we ask that you self-assess as accurately as possible. â€‹

Use the helpful guides below to assist in determining your rating. This ensures you're matched with players of similar skill levels, making your experience more enjoyable and beneficial.

Does Smash Dink offer DUPR sanctioned events?

Yes! We frequently run DUPR nights with a casual round robin format where your matches will be logged in DUPR for you.

We also run leagues throughout the year, some DUPR sanctioned so keep an eye out in the calendar for these events!

What is a DUPR rating?

A DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) is a simple way to measure your skill level in pickleball. It's like a report card for your games, giving you a number between 2.0 and 8.0 based on your performance. DUPR considers who you play, how well you do, and the game's outcome, updating your rating as you improve.
